33 weeks

I am a couple days early, but wanted to get this out here. We have been so busy since the beginning of March with showers and finding daycare, which by the way, we found one!!! So excited about that! I had two great showers, one was thrown by my good friend and another by my Mom. We got just about everything we needed, only had to buy a few more things!

How far along? 33 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: +20 lbs

Sleep: Pretty good, I get up about twice a night, but it is getting harder to roll over from side to side when my hips start hurting

Food cravings: Nothing in particular.

Best moment this week: Buying some last minute things for the baby. It didn't happen this week, but we have all of her furniture and everything set up in her room!

Movement: YES!! I just love it. I am finally starting to see a pattern, but I swear this kid is going to be bony! I'm not sure if I feel a knee or a heel, but once in a while something is sticking out and it is so hard!!

Labor Signs: No

Gender: Sticking with girl!

Stretchies: Nothing yet.

Belly Button in or out? Pretty much out, I never thought that would happen with my major innie!

What I miss: Nothing at all.

What I am looking forward to: The baby coming, I just can't wait to meet her!

Symptoms: swelling and just slowing down, we have 3 flights of stairs in our house and it is getting harder and harder to climb up!

Milestones: Making it to the 3rd trimester, and getting into the every two week appts!

Weekly wisdom: Ask for help, and sit down and put your feet up once in a while!

Emotions: Still very excited, can't wait to meet our baby girl and see what she looks like!

I'll leave you with a 32 week picture!

Food cravings: Nothing in particular.

Best moment this week: Going to the doctor today and hearing the heartbeat : ) And going furniture shopping for the baby!

Labor Signs: No

Gender: They think girl, but we have another ultrasound in 3 weeks.

Stretchies: Nothing yet.

Belly Button in or out? The top is out, the bottom is in still...except when I push my belly out, then it all comes out.

What I miss: Nothing at all.

What I am looking forward to: The ultrasound in a couple weeks and getting the nursery ready!!

Symptoms: heartburn and acid reflux

My Boo

The last two weekends my husband has been hard at work trying to get the room ready for the baby. We have so much furniture in our house its crazy. We have 2 guest bedrooms, one has a full set of furniture, plus an additional dresser in the closet, then the other has a bed and nightstand and a then a dresser in the closet. We thought this would be great, because all we would need is a crib, since we already have dressers. So he proceeded to take the bed down, pull the dressers out of the closet and arrange the room to make room for the crib. This was last weekend. Sunday, the in-laws called and said that they weren't just buying the crib, they were buying a whole new set for the baby!! So, this weekend, my husband had to put the dressers back in the closets. I have to say, he hasn't complained once! I'm sure everybody says this, but I couldn't ask for a better husband, he cooks and cleans and does laundry, we pretty much do 50/50 around the house. He is always trying to make me laugh I feel like we are joking around all the time. Yesterday, he was talking to my belly and asked "should I speak into your belly button, do you think she would hear me better?" lol I told him, I don't think my belly button is a microphone! I'm laughing out loud just typing this.
Its so crazy, I was telling my friend today at work that I feel like I am so much more paranoid now that something is going to happen to him, but it sounds like that is pretty normal while pregnant.

I have a doctors appt next week, otherwise not much going on, pretty uneventful here!

You Couldn't Have Planned It Better

I wish....

At work, our year end is May 31st. Well, my estimated due date is May 30th. When people at work ask when I'm due and I tell them, they ALWAYS say, "you couldn't have planned that better!" since I will be missing our year end. I am in accounting so its kind of a big deal. BUT, I get so mad when I hear that, I just want to say, I didn't plan on waiting a year to get pregnant and I didn't plan on having a miscarriage, or else I would have been gone about right now and been back for year end. Instead I just smile and nod. The other day when I heard it, I actually said, "I didn't really plan it like that" but then I felt like I was telling them this baby wasn't planned. I know people don't mean to sound like that, but it really bugs me. My husband said I should say something, but I haven't thought of anything clever enough to say. Maybe I'm being sensitive about it, but its very annoying.

ANYWAYS, about this baby, can I just say, that I LOVE to feel her move! I have been waiting this whole pregnancy to feel some movement, and I can't get enough!! At work all day, every time I feel a little something I just put my hand on my belly for like the next 20 mins just waiting to feel it again. My husband finally felt her the other day, he said he was getting jealous that I could feel her and he couldn't.
Well I'll leave you with a picture, I just took it today at 22 weeks. I'm still wearing my regular pants, with a belly band, and some maternity shirts, or I have been buying just Large regular shirts, since they are a little cheaper! Excuse my face, I probably could have smiled!!

20 Weeks - Halfway Point!!!!

I am at the halfway point!!!!!!

How far along? 20 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: +8lbs

Sleep: Not too bad, I wake up a little throughout the night because my hips hurt, and have to switch sides.

Food cravings: Nothing in particular.

Best moment this week: Reaching the halfway point!!!!

Movement: Not sure, I don't feel "flutters" and its not really consistent, but I feel something.

Labor Signs: No

Gender: Well, we had two different ultrasounds, both said girl, but they weren't sure, the baby was not cooperating!! Her legs were closed!

Stretchies: Nothing yet.

Belly Button in or out? It is starting to pop a little, its kind of funny, part of it is even with my belly.

What I miss: Nothing at all.

What I am looking forward to: My next appt on Friday, and starting our registry!

Symptoms: nothing really, just my hips hurting at night, and a little back pain.

Milestones: Halfway point!

Weekly wisdom: Try not to compare yourself to others, everybody has a different pregnancy.

Emotions: I have not been emotional at all, I think I have ALMOST cried once, I'm sure towards the end I'll be a mess.

Crazy

16 weeks today! That is exciting! I feel like its kind of going by fast! I had a doctors appt last Monday, heard the heartbeat, and asked the doc if we could find out the sex before Christmas, she said YES!! IF the baby cooperates we will know next Wednesday if its team pink or team blue!!! I have to say I could go either way, at first I thought I wanted a boy, and now I think it would be cool to have a girl, but either way, I just want a healthy baby!!!

Otherwise, I haven't had too many symptoms lately, just some hip pain while sleeping and some headaches, but nothing too unbearable. I do have a funny story though.
Last week, I had been wanting some KFC so bad. I asked DH if he wanted to get some, and he didn't, so I figured we could get it the next day. The next day, I call him at work and ask what he wants for dinner, and of course I say, lets get KFC. "Ok, that is fine" is what he says. I get home that night, walk in the door, and ask him if he ate yet, and he was eating!! He said he wasn't sure if I was SERIOUS or that we actually PLANNED on going to KFC. I literally almost cried. I was so mad. I controlled myself, and ended up eating leftovers. I barely spoke to him throughout dinner and then went to the store afterward because I was supposed to pick up something before I came home, BUT I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING BACK OUT! When I got back, I apologized to him for being so crabby when I got home, but if I would have spoke to him I probably would have cried. So he says "Over some KFC? you are crazy!" So, the next day during lunch I went out and got my KFC fix!

Thanksgiving

This year was my first Thanksgiving that I cooked EVERYTHING on my own! Usually my MIL comes and does most of the cooking, and I try to help her or just do what she asks. Well this year, my in-laws weren't able to come, so it was just myself and my husband. Although it was just the two of us, I had bought enough for 4, just in case they decided to come last minute. Needless to say, we had a lot of food!
I made:
-Turkey
-Cornbread dressing
-Greens
-Mac & Cheese
-Cole Slaw
-Caramel Apple Pie
And it was ALL good!!! (Although, I ate so much, I ended up getting sick!) I used the recipes from my MIL, and even my Husband said that it was just as good as his moms!!! I was so excited!!! So excited in fact, I took some pictures : )
